Global health foods brand Loma Linda has secured deals with four UK wholesalers to bring its plant-based ready meals and seafood alternative TUNO to independent stores nationwide.

Following demand for its sustainable products and listings with retailers such as Holland & Barratt and Planet Organic, the Loma Linda range will now also be stocked at wholesalers including: Tree of Life, The Health Store, Suma and Marigold.

The deals will see a select range of the Loma Linda products available at around 1,600 independent stores across the UK.

Loma Linda’s plant-based products provide tasty, sustainable, convenient and affordable meat-free options for both consumers who are actively looking to reduce their animal protein consumption as well as vegans and vegetarians.

Made with natural plant-based ingredients, Loma Linda’s TUNO, is a protein-rich, gluten-free food which recreates the light, flaky texture of seafood and is completely fish-free.

TUNO has been created in collaboration with seafood industry experts from around the world to help address the growing crisis of global fish stocks being overfished and depleted.

The product offers a delicious, ocean-safe product, with around 100 calories or less per serving, which can be enjoyed as a snack, sandwich filler or salad topping.

Shoppers can choose from flavours including: Spring Water, TUNO Mayo (made with vegan mayonnaise), Lemon Pepper, Sweet Chilli and Sesame Ginger, with a combination of the range available at selected retailers.

Loma Linda’s plant-based Ready Meals will also be available in a choice of four of the range’s most popular flavours; Spicy Pad Thai, Chipotle Bowl, Tikka Masala and Thai Green Curry.

The range has already hit select UK shelves and online retailers, with a recommended retail price of £3.99 per Ready Meal and £1.79 per TUNO product.

Atlantic Natural Foods, LLC (ANF) has joined forces with distributer Worldwide Food Associates (WFA) to bring the Loma Linda range of plant-based products to the UK.

The select range of Loma Linda products will become available at UK-based independent retailers – with some stores running promotions throughout 2019.
